I’ve been itching to try more stylised work (especially handpainted-esque texturing) so this was a project I did to try it out!
I wanted to do something that looked handpainted, and though some of it is, a lot of it I was able to do procedurally which made it easier to tweak things while jumping between objects. I’m pretty rusty but I made the floors in Substance Designer for some more learning experiences. They don’t tile much here but the floor textures are tileable! I did consider making more parts of it tileable (ie. wood, walls, roof etc) and then using an atlas but since I wanted to try something unlit, I decided against it.
I wasn’t paying much attention to topology or UVs so it could be more optimised in areas but overall, it was a fun project that I was able to learn a lot from.
